Purpose of Avatar Modelsโ€‹

Kinetiq Engine loads 3D avatar models (GLB, FBX) solely for animation preview and visualization. Avatars serve as a visual reference so users can see how their animations will look on a specific body type or platform skeleton.


Intellectual Propertyโ€‹

  • Avatar meshes and their associated textures, materials, and rigging are the intellectual property of their respective creators.
  • Thirdrez does not claim ownership over any avatar model loaded into Kinetiq Engine.
  • Default reference avatars provided by Thirdrez are licensed for in-app preview use only and may not be redistributed.

  • All avatar processing occurs client-side in your browser.
  • No mesh data, vertex data, texture data, or model geometry is ever transmitted to Thirdrez servers.
  • Exported animation files contain only bone rotation and position keyframes โ€” no mesh, skin weights, UV maps, or material data.

What Gets Exportedโ€‹

When you export an animation from Kinetiq Engine, the output file contains exclusively:

  1. Bone names โ€” Joint identifiers (e.g., mHipLeft, mWristRight)
  2. Rotation keyframes โ€” Quaternion or Euler rotation values per frame
  3. Position keyframes โ€” Translation offsets (where applicable)
  4. Timing data โ€” Frame numbers, duration, priority, easing

No mesh geometry, vertex positions, skin weights, blend shapes, textures, or any other model data is included in any export format.


User Responsibilityโ€‹

  • Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any avatar model they load into Kinetiq Engine.
  • Do not load models you do not have permission to use.
  • Thirdrez is not responsible for any IP disputes arising from user-loaded avatar models.
