Studio Guide

This is the full tour of the Bento Alive™ studio — written for residents who have never animated anything. (The same guide lives inside the studio: press the ? button in the header.)

1 · Pick a vibe

The chips on the left (Daily, Flirt, Kiss, Seduction, Afterglow…) are mood folders. Tap one to see its faces. The 18+ button in the header shows or hides the adult categories — off by default.

2 · Tap to preview

Tap any preset card and the head instantly makes that face. Keep tapping until one feels like you. Nothing is saved or exported yet — this is a playground.

Surprise me 🎲 mixes 2–3 random presets at random strengths into an expression nobody else has.

3 · Make it yours

  • Strength — the master dial. Scales the whole expression; past 100% exaggerates it.
  • Stack — turn it on and every preset you tap is added to the current face instead of replacing it. Your mix appears as pills over the viewport:
    • Tap a pill → a weight slider opens on the right for that ingredient.
    • ✕ on a pill → removes it from the mix.
  • Fine-tune — collapsible groups with every face part: Brows, Eyes, Gaze, Nose, Cheeks, Jaw, Mouth, Tongue, Teeth and Ears. Open a group and drag sliders.
  • Mirror swaps left ↔ right. Reset returns to a calm neutral face.
  • ♀ / ♂ switches the preview head — your expression carries over.
The tongue lives inside

Like in real life, you won't see the tongue until the jaw opens. Raise Jaw ▸ Jaw Open a little, then play with the Tongue sliders.

4 · Sequences — your mini-show

A sequence chains faces into a looping show, exported as ONE .anim:

  1. Pose a face → press + Add in the bottom bar → it becomes step ①.
  2. Pose another → Add again → step ②. Build your story.
  3. Stacked a mix? Add each turns every ingredient into its own step in one tap.

Timing:

  • Hold — how many seconds each face stays.
  • Blend — how long one face melts into the next. Slow = soft and romantic; fast = snappy and fun.

▶ Preview plays the loop live on the head. Drag steps to reorder, click a step number to load it back for editing, ✕ removes one, and the trash can clears the bar for a new show (saved ⭐ Mine entries stay).

The meter (e.g. 3.4 KB / 240 KB · 18s / 59s) is your space inside Second Life's upload limits — it runs the real exporter, so the number is exact. Green = plenty of room; red = remove steps or shorten Hold.

5 · ⭐ Mine — your collection

  • Save (bottom bar) stores the current face — or, when a sequence is on the bar, the whole show (steps + timing).
  • Tap a saved card to bring it back. Sequences load onto the bar and start playing.
  • Saving with the same name updates the entry.
  • Entries live in your browser. For permanent copies, use the file buttons:
    • Save to file — writes a portable .trz to your computer (backup, or a gift for a friend).
    • Open file — loads a .trz and adds it to your ⭐ Mine.

Next: Export to Second Life — priority, fades, upload steps and troubleshooting.
